Biography & Resume
Born in Newport Beach, California, Alicia Dufour's desire to be a performer developed in elementary school and was focused primarily on instruction in ballet and jazz dance. During high school, although Alicia pursued sports while maintaining a 4.0 GPA, she continued to practice dance and also began to fully engage herself in the world of theatrics. During her high school years, Alicia performed in upwards of 3 productions a year, and gained experience in all aspects of theatrical stage production including back stage, costume and makeup, and also had numerous supporting and lead roles. At graduation Alicia went on to attend the University of California, Riverside. Simultaneously, she began to study voice with instructors Bill Risinger and Denise DeMarco

During her college years, Alicia continued to study acting and performing arts at UCR and also did stage productions through In The Company Theatre and the Joshua Project, where she appeared as a lead in GODSPELL. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a minor in Art History from UCR, Alicia moved to Hemet CA, began working a traditional 9 to 5 job and eventually became a counselor working with County Public Social Services. During this time, she continued to study acting, dance and voice. Alicia began concentrated vocal training through Julie Adams and continued to expand her dance background while studying modern dance and choreography through Julie Freeman and Gail Hoak. It was while under Gail Hoak's tutelage that she used her background in psychology to choreograph and perform her much talked about and controversial solo dance piece entitled AGATEOPHOBIC which dealt with the disturbing depiction of a woman losing her sanity.

Shortly after moving to Hemet, Alicia became involved with Mt. San Jacinto Performing Arts and the Romona Bowl Repertory Theatre. Some of her stage credits include KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN, DAMN YANKEES, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, OKLAHOMA, WONDERFUL TOWN as Helen, MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING as Hero, and CHICAGO as the merry murderess Annie. One of her favorite productions was CABARET, in which she was the much talked about "trashy drummer.' Although it was a minor role, she was able to showcase her skills at improv and was singled out each night after performances by audience members who were impressed at her intense and memorable character.  She was also a stand-in for the role of Nellie Forbush and appeared as Ensign Janet McGregor in the RBRP production of SOUTH PACIFIC which starred Shezwae Powell. Alicia regularly partners with Isis Theatre Company out of Idyllwild, CA and has been a featured actor in mulitiple staged readings, including Neil LaButte's REASONS TO BE PRETTY, Mark Twain's DIARIES OF ADAM AND EVE, and most recently a reading of THREE VIEWINGS. She also received rave reviews for her performance as Medea in MEDEA by Stratford Players. Most recently, Alicia appeared on stage as The Princess at the Archway Theatre in Los Angeles with the Fly By Night Production of THE PRINCESS AND THE P(ENIS).

Alicia has been recognized on several occassions by the Inland Theatre League, and won nominations for her portrayal of Lucy in A CLASS ACT and as a featured performer in BLOCKBUSTERS AND SMALL WONDERS which was a review of Broadway musicals where she was featured in 21 of the 25 highlighted musicals. She won ITL award for her role in the Ramona Hillside Players production of TEMPORARY INSANITY by Jeri Greene, where she was double cast as a spoiled, alcoholic fashion model and also as the flaky and dim-witted legal secretary Wendy. Most recently, Alicia was awarded an ITL for her performance as Martha in the MSJC Performing Arts production of A PIECE OF MY HEART.

Alicia currently performs as a professional belly dancer with Nikkal Feyrouz of The Dancing Belly and models as a vintage pin up girl. Alicia recently worked with Twitchy Dolphin Flix on their feature film: 3 REFERENCES in the role of DIana, as well as the feature film VERTICAL by Lunatopia/Baylor Films, directed by Stephen Savage. Alicia played the role of Karen Harper, an eager and 'by the book' deputy. The film premiered in January 2013 at the Idyllwild International Film Festival. She also worked with Twitchy Dolplin on their mockumentary called XXXX in the role of Jinger Snapp. Most recently she studied acting and film with The fACTory based in Los Angeles, CA.
